WrestleMania Preview: Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar Title Unification Match

Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar

Time to break down the main event of WrestleMania. The big winner-take-all unification match. Possibly the most exciting match in nearly a decade.

Roman Reigns v Brock Lesnar in a World Title Unification match.

Backstory

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns have traded titles, bloody noses, and mixed reviews for the last seven years. The two have been on dominant runs over the previous year, with Reigns approaching legendary status.

Brock Lesnar has become an unlikely folk hero and seems to be enjoying himself a lot!

WWE finally cracked the code on Roman Reigns. All the time spent trying to make him into this fantastic babyface only fueled his turn into the Ultimate Boss Level. I expect this will be the last time we will see these two fight for a long time**. Reigns will acquire the final infinity stone and become invincible***.

A lot is riding on this match. WWE wants Roman to be the leader for the foreseeable future and needs him to pull this off to solidify that.

The “Who Cares?” Scale

They are billing this as the biggest WrestleMania main event ever. From a storyline perspective, it is hard to argue otherwise. You have two men at the top of their form at the top of the game—a Winner-Take-All for the ages.

I am jazzed and would be lying if I wasn’t saying this is the weekend’s most significant match for me.

I give this match this 6 out of 5 cares.

Who Wins

The night ends with Roman Reigns defeating Brock Lesnar, standing over his corpse with both titles as fireworks and pyro go off.

Will This Be A Good Match?

If the audience aren’t jerks, then yes, this should be one of the weekend’s matches. I expect a 25 minute slugfest and intentional blood in a match for the first time in a long, long time.

Wild Card Prediction?

Brock and Lesnar teaming up and decide to destroy the entire company as the ultimate tag team. That would rule and set up someone down the line to finally take down the two most potent forces in WWE history.

But on a slightly more realistic note, as noted above, I expect there to be some blade jobs and for both wrestlers to bleed on purpose. Vince is notoriously opposed to it, but it has been referenced too many times in the build-up for there not to be a big of the “juice,” brother.

**until the Saudis ask them to wrestle at the next event

***idk if that’s how it works. I didn’t see any of the Avenger movies.
