Tony Khan is very open to the idea of Cesaro joining AEW. Also, a new title will be coming shortly.
Tony Khan On Cesaro Joining AEW
In quiet fashion, Cesaro departed WWE. The move was somewhat shocking as there were no reports of his contract expiring.
The two sides spoke, but a deal was not reached. Therefore, another company will be able sign a big star shortly.
Recently, Tony Khan made some huge noise in the pro wrestling business. On AEW Dynamite this week, Khan announced he purchased Ring Of Honor.
And on top of that, AEW has a massive weekend with Sunday’s Revolution pay per view. So, Khan has been busy promoting the show.
During a recent media call, the topic of Cesaro was mentioned. While nothing is official, Khan could see Cesaro fitting in AEW.
“I do like him a lot and I have to say I met him many years ago and he’s a real gentleman,” said Khan. Have a ton of respect for him as a pro wrestler.”
“I think he’s a great athlete. He’s a phenomenal, phenomenal athlete, let’s be honest.”
“His strength is tip-top, he has very few peers in the power department. And, also mentally, he puts great matches together.”
“He’s got great psychology and just a great guy. So, yeah it’s always something I’d be open to.”
With news that Khan now owns ROH, there is also a chance Cesaro lands there. He is very familiar with ROH, winning their tag titles twice with Chris Hero as The Kings of Wrestling.
At 41 years old, Cesaro is past his prime. Still, he is a great performer in the ring and would be an asset for future wrestlers.
Nobody knows where Cesaro will land, but there will be plenty of offers. Personally, I would like to seem him return to ROH and work the young talent.
New Championship Coming

In the beginning, AEW had no champions. Slowly, they crowned Men’s World, Women’s World, and Tag Team Champions.
Then, they got a little carried away by brinigning in more belts. That included the TNT and TBS titles.
Also, they have the FTW Championship, but it is not officially recognized by the promotion.
During the media call, Tony Khan mentioned the plan for another title. The time, it will be a Trios Championship.
Khan noted that he was waiting on Kenny Omega to return before introducing more gold. He believes Omega will help booster the division.

There is no official word on when Omega will return. He has been out for a months since dropping the World Championship to Adam Page.
He has several injuries that need time to heal. There were some hoping he would return around this time.
Last time fans saw Omega, he teased tension with Adam Cole. Upon returning, look for Cole & reDRagon to work opposite Omega & The Young Bucks.
Those should produce some great bout for months to come.
