Stunning NXT Title Change
We knew it could happen, but surely didn’t expect it to…but on Tuesday night, we saw a stunning NXT title change.
Spoiler alert, if you have not watched the Roadblock edition of NXT, please turn away now.

On Tuesday’s NXT: Roadblock, the main event featured a triple threat match for the NXT Championship.
The challengers for Bron Breakker’s title: former champ Tommaso Ciampa, and RAW Superstar Dolph Ziggler.
Ziggler being in NXT was, of course, just the latest in a string of guest Superstars visiting Florida.
This most recent swap even lead to Bron Breakker’s RAW debut this week.
However…it also led to a stunning NXT title change this week.
As in…we have a new NXT Champion, and his name is…Dolph Ziggler.

It is certainly a big move, and a curious one too.
For one thing, Breakker is certainly the future, both of NXT and likely of WWE’s main roster.
Looking at it another way, WWE rebooted NXT to move away from some of the older NXT talents and usher in a youth movement.
So…phasing out some more established veterans looks a bit questionable now that it’s paved the way for…Dolph Ziggler, NXT Champion.
It will be interesting to see where things go from here.
While we had seen the end of the generally superb NXT TakeOver shows, as well as NXT PPVs that happen on the Saturdays before a major WWE PPV…this next one is a bit different.
NXT has a special during WrestleMania weekend, Stand And Deliver. It feels like it’s been a while since we’ve seen an NXT special aligned with a main roster show.
However…Stand and Deliver is on Saturday afternoon, hours before the opening bell of the first night of WrestleMania.
Now, barring something changing in the next month, the NXT Champion heading into that event works primarily on Mondays.
Stunning NXT title change indeed.
Taya Valkyrie’s Scary Situation
Not a stunning title change, but more important…let’s discuss Taya Valkyrie’s scary situation from the weekend.
The former NXT Superstar, known then as Franky Monet, posted a story to social media recently, of a really serious situation.
Valkyrie was traveling for an independent booking, which is nice to see following her unfortunate WWE release. However, her scary situation is not.

Fortunately for Valkyrie, things turned out not so bad. But, as she pointed out, things could have gone much, much worse.

As she pointed out, she was fortunate to have been able to avoid harm.
However, things could have been far worse…and for all of us who have stayed in a hotel a time or two…it gives you something else to consider when you check into that home away from home.
