PFL Challenger Series: Lightweights Take To Main Stage

Female lightweights take center stage on PFL Challenger Series this Friday.

The event airs live on Fubo Sports Network from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

In the headline bout, Martina Jindrova takes on Jacqueline Cavalcanti. Three more fights are also scheduled.

The premise of the Challenger Series is to provide up-and-coming prospects with a chance to impress the PFL brass.

So far, two episodes are in the books and three fighters have been signed to either future or developmental contracts.

On the first episode, Bruce Souto was signed to compete in the light heavyweight division. He earned a finish by flying knee to impress Ray Lewis and Tyron Woodley.

The following week, Jarrah Al Silawi claimed a main event win by knockout. He was signed, along with Chris Mixan to a developmental contract.

Along with Jindrova vs. Cavalcani, Jackie Cataline takes on Evelyn Martins, Julia Dorny meets Jeslen Michelle and Michelle Montague battles Olivia Parker.

Cataline is a former Pan American champion wrestler, while Dorny is a German judoka. Montague is a member of City Kickboxing and previous sparred with PFL champion Kayla Harrison and UFC titleholder Amanda Nunes.

The PFL has also signed French Olympic wrestler Cynthia Vescan to the roster for the Challenger Series.
