SHOCKING END TO NXT TITLE MATCH

The main event for NXT Roadblock was a triple-threat between Dolph Ziggler, Tomasso Ciampa, and NXT champion Bronn Breakker. This build-up has been phenomenal as a battle about NXT’s past, present, and future.

The match was pretty solid, but in the words of Vince McMahon, “The only thing people will remember is the finish.” and boy, will this go down as one of the wildest finishes in NXT history.

After a back and forth between the three, Bobby Roode pulled Breakker out of the ring, and Ziggler snuck in a final superkick on Ciampa for the win!

If you’re having trouble reading that, I will repeat it.

Dolph Ziggler is now the NXT Champion.

I am as shocked as Breakker is. And so is the rest of the Internet.

The Rest of the Show

Besides that shocking ending to the NXT title match, here are a few highlights I enjoyed.

Andre Chase’s Expletive-Filled Rant

There are a few hypotheses of comedy. One of them is that **Bleep*-ing out curse words is always funny. I don’t understand it, and I can’t explain it. I know that every time I watch TV and I hear an F-Bomb dubbed over, I cackle over into laughter.

Andre Chase went full Bobby Knight in a vignette. The academically minded Chase screamed at his students like they lost to Purdue. Chase even had the red sweater.

Andre Chase’s unique gimmick has become one of the many highlights on NXT.

Grayson Waller Flying High

Grayson Waller is the most hated man in NXT. But that doesn’t mean he still can’t put on a great match. In a phenomenal Last Man Standing Match, the Aussie loudmouth took on NXT anti-hero LA Knight. It looked like Knight had Waller down for the count until Waller pulled a blackjack out of his trunks to knockout Knight, laying him out on the announce table.

Not satisfied, Waller then went NBA dunk contest on it with a beautiful diving elbow from the top rope onto Knight on the table.
