Junior dos Santos and Hector Lombard are new additions to the Eagle FC roster.
The former champions join Khabib Nurmagomedov’s promotion, which was established in 2020. Nurmagomedov made the purchase of Gorilla Fighting Championship and is an owner with two others.
Officials confirmed with MMA Fighting the signing of dos Santos to face Yorgan De Castro on May 20. The bout will headline the event live on the FLX app from the FLX Arena in Miami.
Along with dos Santos vs. De Castoro, Lombard will meet Thiago Silva in the co-main event. The entire card will stream for free.
The next Eagle FC event takes place Friday and features a main event pitting Kevin Lee against Diego Sanchez. Ray Borg and Darrell Horcher will also be in action.
Heavyweight champion Rizvan Kuniev will defend his title against Anthony Hamilton.
Dos Santos is looking for his first win since 2019. He lost his last four in the UFC after reeling off three consecutive wins.
De Castro picked up a submission win at Eagle FC 44 in January and is on a two-fight win streak. He went 1-3 with the UFC and also earned a win on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Lombard went 0-6 with a no-contest in his last seven UFC appearances, with the last coming in 2018. He most recently fought for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
Silva, a former UFC title challenger, has traveled the globe during his career. He fought in MMA in 2019
