WWE superstar Big E provides an update on his neck, and the news is not all bad. Also, if Cody Rhodes is working WrestleMania, then Monday’s RAW should be very telling where he stands.

Big E Provides Update

SmackDown was a rollercoaster night of emotions. Big E took a belly-to-belly suplex on the outside and landed on his head.

He was carted out of the ringside area and gave a thumbs up. Less than two hours later and Big E updated fans on his injury.

Big E is able to move, which is a great sign. Although, his neck is damaged.

He took to social media to update fans on his current status.

“So, I got some really good news, all things considered,” said Big E. “The C1 and C6 are indeed fractured, not displacement though which is a very good thing.”

“And I don’t have any damage to my spinal cord, no ligament damage, and no surgery which I’m very thankful for.”

“And a pro tip: if you’re going to break your neck, do it in Birmingham. They’ve been great, everyone here at UAB has been great.”

“But for real, it meant a ton to me that so many of you have been so kind and reached out, stopped in to see me, texted me. I know I sound like a broken record. but I feel very grateful, and I’m going to be alright.”

If the injury is a neck fracture, that sidelines someone for two to three months. If the damage is much worse, it could be a year.

And, for some, it is a career ender. If anything, it usually shortens a career.

Big E will not make WrestleMania 38, but we wish the former WWE Champion a safe return. To the surprise of no-one, he still has that positive attitude.

Cody Rhodes help start AEW, so when he did re-sign, fans were surprised. Then, they became shocked when they heard he was returning to WWE.

Now, the talk of Cody rejoining WWE has stalled. Therefore, if he is going to at least compete at WrestleMania 38, the angle needs to start at tomorrow’s RAW.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the importance of this upcoming episode of RAW.

“If he’s on the show Monday you already know,” said Meltzer. “If he’s not on the show Monday and they don’t do [anything] with Seth [Rollins] whatsoever, that means they’re still talking and hopefully doing something.”

“So, if they start Rollins on with a new feud with somebody different, that tells you that Cody Rhodes is probably not at WrestleMania or they’re playing hardball back with him. After Monday’s show, we’re gonna have a better idea.”

RAW is special this week because it comes from Jacksonville, Florida. In that same city, AEW ran out of Daily’s Place for over a year during the pandemic.

So, there is lots of history for AEW and Cody in Jacksonville. Be sure to catch RAW because a big question about Cody should finally be answered.
