UFC Returns Saturday With Jack Hermansson-Sean Strickland

Jack Hermansson

We’ve all had time to digest from UFC 270. Now, it is time to move forward.

The promotion returns this Saturday with Jack Hermansson vs. Sean Strickland at UFC Fight Night 200.

Set from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, the action airs live on ESPN+ throughout the night.

The 33-year-old Hermansson is coming off a decision win over Edmen Shahbazyan. He is now 22-6 overall in his career including nine wins inside the Octagon.

Since signing in 2016, Hermansson has bested the likes of Scott Askham, Thales Leites, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Kelvin Gastelum. He also had a “Fight of the Night” with Marvin Vettori in 2020, coming up short.

Hermansson’s opponent, Strickland, has reeled off five consecutive wins.

In July, he downed Uriah Hall, adding his name to a list that includes Krzysztof Jotko, Brendan Allen, Jack Marshman and Nordine Taleb. Strickland is 24-3 in his career and owns 11 UFC victories.

This should be a great matchup between two fighters looking to move up the middleweight pecking order.

Along with Hermansson and Strickland, we also get to see Punahele Soriano for a second time. The youngster from Hawaii lost in his UFC debut, so he will be looking to make a statement against Nick Maximov.

Sam Alvey and Phil Hawes collide in another middleweight contest. In fact, four of the six main card bouts are in the division, with another on the prelims.

The main card kicks off with Julian Erosa and Steven Peterson.

On the prelims will be fighters such as Miles Johns, Hakeem Dawodu, Chidi Njokuani and Alexis Davis.
