Islam Makhachev made quick work of Bobby Green at UFC Fight Night Saturday.
Makhachev stopped Green in the first round live on ESPN+. The event took place from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
After scoring a win earlier this month over Nasrat Haqparast, Green stepped up and replaced Beneil Dariush. However, he was no match for Makhachev on this night, seeing his two-fight win streak end.
The 30-year-old Makhachev moved to 22-1 overall, stretching his run to 10 consecutive wins. Six of those have been finishes, including each of the last four.
In the co-main event, Wellington Turman submitted Misha Cirkunov with an armbar in the second round.
Priscila Cachoeira scored a decision vs. Ji Yeon Kim in women’s flyweight action.
Armen Petrosyan kicked off the main card with a split decision over Gregor Rodrigues. Arman Tsarukyan followed by finishing Joel Alvarez in the second round.
On the early prelims, Ignacio Bahamondes, Josiane Nunes, Terrance McKinney, Jonathan Martinez, Ramiz Brahimaj and Carlos Hernandez picked up wins. Bahamondes, McKinney and Brahimaj all won via submission.
