RAW In A Nutshell: Jetting On To Jeddah And Elimination Chamber

It’s time for RAW in a Nutshell once again, and just in time to see the red brand jetting on to Jeddah, and Saturday’s Elimination Chamber.

Yep, this is our go-home show this week, and our only live one. SmackDown has their own on Friday, but that was taped last week.

We know, because we know they will be editing that one…

But, that’s a different brand and a different recap.

This Monday, this RAW, is all about getting to Jeddah and final hype for the Elimination Chamber.

Looking at what we’ve got coming to us…I can’t help but wonder if this might be the best WWE live event from Saudi Arabia yet.

Well, on paper anyways.

Saturday will tell us if it is really the best.

With the loaded men’s Chamber match, the women’s Chamber match-with one entrant still unknown, and Lita getting a shot at the RAW Women’s Championship…there’s a lot to be excited for.

For now, however, we have some last bits of hype to deliver before the Superstars can be jetting on to Jeddah.

So, it is time for…

RAW In A Nutshell: Jetting On To Jeddah And Elimination Chamber

Let’s crack open this Nutshell and see what happens!

Best Match of the night:

I have to say, the women’s gauntlet match impressed me.

Rollins and Orton was good too…but I think with what was at stake, that women’s gauntlet match had a case to be made to be our main event.

I do think that the ending sets up the tag title match, which might result in an RK-Bro loss…and perhaps this night was the beginning of the end of that team?

Worst match of the night:

Handicap match, Omos versus The Hurt Business.

I don’t think there needs to be any more said on that…

Crowd Chants of the Night:

Toga! Toga!

Star of the Night

Bianca Belair. She won the gauntlet match, and with that, becomes the final entrant in the women’s Chamber match on Saturday.

Honorable mention to Rhea Ripley, lasting the entire match.

Jobber of the Night:

Austin Theory.

Someone had to take the abuse from Brock Lesnar this week, and it wasn’t going to be any of the top Superstars this week on RAW.

Theory, being the proverbial low man on the RAW totem pole, got the jobber duty this week.

Upset of the Night:

Well, Reggie got told he was only going to be friends with Dana Brooke.

So…he jilted her and won back his 24/7 title…and she got stuck with the Valentine’s Day dinner bill…

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

Did anyone not think to invite a single babyface in Riddle’s bro-ga party?

And, perhaps unsurprisingly, it is official. Alexa Bliss is back, and she is the final entrant in the women’s Elimination Chamber match on Saturday.

Botch of the night:

Lashley tripped up a part of his promo.

LOL Moment of the night:

Quite a few from the opening segment hyping the men’s Elimination Chamber match.

For one, Lesnar coming in and using Austin Theory as a hat rack.

Then, as Lesnar confronted Bobby Lashley, I think Theory asked out loud “did he just use me as a hat rack?!”.

If it wasn’t Theory, then someone was egging him on about it…and you could see Seth Rollins was definitely fanning those flames.

So then Theory had the bright idea to attack Lesnar.

Last laugh was Riddle, seeing things break down, could not wait to leap out of the ring.

Lesnar wrapped that segment with a beauty…

Noteworthy Moment:

Becky looks tired…but I suppose it was all part of the plan. Mind games makes a lot of sense, especially to limit the physicality until Jeddah.

Nice to see Tommaso Ciampa on RAW. Following Dolph on NXT, is this the bridge to Ciampa hitting the main roster?

Overall lowlights:

Omos. Any match, handicap or otherwise, with him right now is just painful.

Overall highlights:

It went off first, no doubt to get certain A-Listers in and out and on their way to Saudi Arabia…but the opening segment was effective for sure.

It’s so minor, but I loved the sportsmanship.

We saw Damien Priest and AJ Styles shake hands after…and we saw Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair embrace after their match.

Does not always have to be complete and utter animosity.

After the final bell:

Well, it was a pretty loaded go-home show ahead of everyone’s trip to Jeddah. The Elimination Chamber is Saturday, and it is looking stacked.

We’ve got a huge men’s Chamber match…could we see title versus title at WrestleMania?

There’s a big women’s match too…with a big return for Alexa Bliss.

The Miz and Rey Mysterio got added to the card this week too.

Seriously, I think this is the best card WWE has booked for a Saudi Arabia show yet. We will find out soon enough if it actually delivers.
