In fact, due to the injury, Kingston will not be working GCW’s “The Wrld On GCW” pay-per-view (PPV) taking place at the Hammerstein Ballroom this Sunday. It is because apparently, Eddie will be out for a few weeks, recovering.

Eddie Kingston Is Injured But Being Called Out

AJ Gray of GCW called Eddie out for a possible match at the event. However, the bout won’t likely happen anytime soon.

Kingston states he’s open to working the PPV, but would have to get the okay from AEW. If Eddie even has a minor injury, the company likely won’t take that chance.

Eddie debuted in AEW in the summer of 2020 during a Dynamite episode. Since, he’s faced some incredible superstars like Cody Rhodes, Jon Moxley, and Bryan Danielson.

Right now, he’s feuding with Chris Jericho and his Inner Circle faction members Ortiz and Santana. Jericho and Kingston were close to a full-out brawl on Dynamite’s New Year’s Smash show.

On behalf of everyone at WNZ, here’s hoping Eddie Kingston makes a full and quick recovery from his current ailment. It’ll be great to see him back in the ring once he feels better.

While Kingston heals, there’s an AEW Original whose future with the company is up in the air. More on this story, below.

Avalon hopped on Twitter recently to let fans know about bookings. With that said, he didn’t mention anything about his status with AEW.

As fans can see from the tweet below, he does note he’s an “AEW Original” and “Dynamite” since day 1. With that said, he also states he’s available anytime time, place, or date.

Is Peter Avalon Leaving AEW?

It’s interesting to note, Peter Avalon has been in matches at the most recent AEW Dark tapings. Therefore, it’s hard to say if the “AEW Original” is done being All Elite.

No announcement has been made on whether Avalon has left AEW. He could have made an agreement with Tony Khan to work other bookings or he could be done with the company.

It’s anyone’s guess. It would be sad to see Avalon go, but there might be something else on the horizon for him.

Peter did some incredible work on the Being the Elite YouTube series. Avalon had some funny comedy spots, which carried over to his TV gimmick.

While the future may seem uncertain for Avalon, AEW, and his fans, Peter is highly talented. If he has left the wrestling companies, he’ll get independent bookings that flood his Twitter in no time.
