You may or may not agree, but WWE has big plans for one young Superstar in particular. And, there is news on Mark Henry’s in ring future.

WWE Has Big Plans For Young Superstar

The company has introduced a number of new faces, and WWE has big plans for one young Superstar in particular.

You know him as Omos.

It’s been quite a meteoric rise for the former college basketball player.

WWE fans were first exposed to him as the bouncer for Shane McMahon’s defunct RAW Underground.

Considering Omos stands well over 7 feet and is athletic, the company made sure he had something to do when that segment ceased to exist.

He became AJ Style’s companion, and the two have enjoyed a nice run. It included time as the RAW Tag Team Champions.

That run as a duo, however, seems to be coming to an end sooner than later.

There had been reports that the company was going to break the pair up during the draft. While they survived, it likely was just a brief stay of execution.

Per the Wrestling Observer, WWE has big plans for the young Superstar. Plans that don’t involve him working in the tag ranks anymore.

In recent weeks, there have been instances of tension between the pair. Clearly, the split is coming.

Since he debuted, there have been reservations about Omos. While he is obviously massive and has some athletic ability…he is still learning.

Wrestling as a green talent with AJ Styles working with him was a way to help him improve. Some fans don’t see a bright future for Omos, but the company does.

Per the report, some within the company feel Omos could be a 21st Century Andre the Giant.

Supposedly, AJ Styles feels like the big man has a main event future as well. Fans may disagree, but we are likely about to see just how capable Omos may be.

At one point, both before and shortly after he switched employers, Henry had talked about one more match.

He switched that from being in WWE, to then happening in AEW.

But now? Now, it won’t be happening at all.

Mark Henry was recently a guest on a radio show, and the topic of his in ring future came up.

Per his interview, he flat out said he wasn’t looking to get back in the ring anymore.

Specifically, he jokingly said that if anyone hit him, he’d be calling the police.

Now, in fairness, there should be two disclaimers.

First, in the world of professional wrestling, is anyone ever really and truly retired?

And, second, Henry himself did pull off an exceptional retirement swerve back during his WWE time.

All that means is…what he says this week, may not be what happens next week.

Still, Mark Henry has nothing left to prove in the ring, so a full-on retirement is not a bad idea.
