The fan attack on Seth Rollins during last night’s Monday Night RAW is still causing a buzz within the WWE Universe. WNZ has an update, as reports indicate the attacker has been charged.

Seth Rollins WWE RAW Attacker Charged

Seth Rollins was blindsided during RAW last night. A fan in Brooklyn, NY was arrested and subsequently charged with attempted assault by the NYPD.

In addition, the fan was also charged with attempted violation of art and cultural affair, where “disrupting a live sporting event” falls under. The fan in question’s name is Elisah Spencer, and he’s 24 years of age.

Spencer would jump over the barricade to attack Rollins as he was leaving the ring. While Seth suffered a swollen lip, he refused medical attention after the attack.

Many fans at home saw the incident, initially, until cameras cut away. Some at the event taped the altercation and posted it on social media.

Upon being tackled by Spencer, Seth placed him in a headlock, until WWE officials and security could take him away. Many at home and in the crowd have a newfound respect for The Man’s man!

As of now, there’s no other information on whether Mr. Spencer is still in custody or about a court date. Only time will tell.

WWE issued a statement. It can be seen in the above tweet.

While the situation was scary, it’s nothing new in the land of WWE or professional wrestling. In fact, this is the second time a fan jumped from the crowd to attack a WWE superstar at Barclays Center.

For those that recall, the first incident occurred back in April 2019, during that year’s Hall of Fame ceremony. Bret Hart was tackled as he and niece Nattie were trying to relay a speech for the Hart Foundation’s induction.

Speaking of a scary situation, beloved AEW commentator Jim Ross has had to deal with his fair share of health issues lately. While he hasn’t skipped a beat at work, he may need some time off.

Jim Ross’ Health Struggles

Jim Ross was diagnosed with skin cancer recently. Now, he can add “back surgery” to the list of things he needs to recover from.

Good ol’ JR is resilient though, and loves his job. As per Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, he won’t be stepping away from the commenting booth despite his ailments.

Jim Ross Plans For This Week’s Dynamite

Jim plans on being at Dynamite for the November 24th show. His cancer treatments start the following Monday.

Ross was planning on being at the show, despite the skin cancer diagnosis. Although, he may need to take some time off from AEW at some point.

This week’s edition of Dynamite should be a big one. It’s taking place in Chicago, with both Colt Cabana and CM Punk to wrestle on the show.

Ross entered the wrestling business in the mid-70s. He’s worked in the WWE, WCW, NWA, NJPW, and now is All Elite.

Ross has also worked with several independents over the years. Not to mention that he’s a WWE Hall of Famer (circa 2007)!

On behalf of everyone here at WNZ, we wish Jim Ross a speedy recovery. With both his skin cancer treatments and his back surgery.
