After a rather bizarre scene on the November 22nd edition of RAW, Seth Rollins speaks about the attack he experienced. And, another one bites the dust as Scotty 2 Hotty requests his WWE release.
Seth Rollins Speaks About Attack
By now, you’ve likely seen the video and read numerous stories about it, and now WWE Superstar Seth Rollins speaks about the attack.
In case you somehow missed the story, here’s a quick recap.
On Monday’s RAW, as Rollins was heading to the ring, a fan jumped over the barricade and attacked Seth.
After the fracas, the fan was escorted out of the Barclays Center. Per later reports, he was subsequently arrested.
There are reports out that the crazed fan was himself a victim of a catfish. That is, someone online made the attacker believe he was Seth Rollins.
Whether that is true or not is not certain at this point, though some WWE Superstars took the opportunity to remind fans that many scammers like to set up fake accounts to take advantage of people.
So, with some time between him and the attack, Rollins himself got to speak about it.
While in the airport, Seth Rollins spoke to TMZ about what went down.
Per Rollins, he was scared and he called the attack crazy.
The Superstar confirmed he was OK, suffering no serious injuries.
Rollins would not say if he wanted to see his attacker punished to the full extent of the law. As we noted, the attacker was arrested and charged.
However, the RAW Superstar did say that he hopes the individual is kept away from WWE events for a while.
Scotty 2 Hotty Requests WWE Release
And in other news, another one bites the dust-Scotty 2 Hotty requests his WWE release.
Yes, Scotty 2 Hotty. No, I too did not realize he was still attached to WWE.
If you are like me and did not know…Scotty 2 Hotty has been working in support of the NXT brand for a good bit now.
Obviously, behind the scenes as a coach and producer, but he was one I didn’t even realize was still with the company.
In any case, the former WWE Superstar posted about his request on social media:

Basically, it sounds like the former Superstar, real name Scott Garland, was burned out.
As it was said, if he began to “just do it for the paycheck”, he could not keep doing it…and that’s where he’s at.
A number of former Superstars and even former (but non-WWE) in ring talent work behind the scenes. That’s true for both the main roster and NXT.
Still, when the news popped up it was a bit surprising-some personalities are more out there than others. Most know that Shawn Michaels is involved, for example.
For all his on-screen antics as a Superstar, Scotty 2 Hotty was quite the opposite as a backstage presence.
As in, he was there, but he flew under the radar.
And now, as he has requested his release, he will move on to do something else…and maybe totally off the radar.
