Triple H tried, but he was unable to convince Vince McMahon that Keith Lee needed more time in NXT. Also, Charlotte Flair problems continue.

Triple H Wanted Keith Lee To Stay In NXT

Before WWE changed NXT, there was a pattern. Talent would be featured well on NXT and then buried on the main roster.

Even NXT World Champions are no exception. And, that is what happened with Keith Lee.

While speaking on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Lee spoke about his time in NXT and apparently Triple H wanted him to stick around on the yellow and black brand longer.

“I definitely could have spent more time there, without a doubt, without questions,” said Lee. “Let’s be honest, I won the NXT Championship and what, maybe six weeks of time before it was ‘gotta go.’”

“The reality was, as I understand, the main roster had been wanting to bring me up for a while and it was Triple H trying to keep me for as long as he could. Time was running out and some things are out of our hands.”

“For me, personally, I’m always looking for another challenge so, going to the main roster, it’s like, okay, now I get to see where I really stand. Because I was concerned I have everything I need.”

“I think a random no-name guy steps up with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins at Survivor Series and has the crowd firmly on his side without having something. In my personal opinion, I have everything.”

It has not been great on the main roster for Lee, who recently had his name changed to Bearcat Lee.

He was out for a lengthy because of COVID and then issues with his bloodwork. Now, he is back and with the Draft over, hopefully he gets a renewed push.

More Charlotte Flair Issues

Charlotte Flair had fans talking after SmackDown. She got into a backstage shouting match with Becky Lynch and it did not end there.

Back in the ring, the two started to shoot when it came time to swap belts. Basically, Charlotte was upset and Becky was not taking any abuse.

It caused an awkward scene with Charlotte actually leaving the arena and ignoring Vince McMahon. There is talk that Charlotte’s inner circle wants her to leave.

Although, WWE doss not want that to happen because of AEW. The tension with Charlotte is bad enough that seemingly no wrestler wants to work with her.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter added how talent are upset with her moves inside the ring. Charlotte hits several babyface moves for the pop, but that is not how heels work.

With Charlotte being pushed to the top for so long, WWE is in a bad spot. They do not want to lose her, but working with her is being more complicated each passing month.
