Buddy Murphy Teases AEW

Buddy Murphy was released from the WWE this past June. As fans wait to see where he heads to next, the talent jumped on Twitter recently. He posted something that teases a possible jump to AEW.

AEW is set to celebrate its TNT launch anniversary this week, with a huge program. In fact, there’s a 7-way Casino Ladder match scheduled for a future chance at the AEW World title.

Right now, Pac, Matt Hardy, Andrade El Idolo, Jon Moxley, Orange Cassidy, and Lance Archer are confirmed. The seventh participant is supposed to be a surprise “Joker”.

AEW has used “surprise” final entrants in these types of “casino” bouts in the past as a way to introduce new talent. Most recently, Ruby Soho revealed she was All Elite in this fashion.

The 90-day no-compete clause is finally expiring for many ex-WWE wrestlers who were released in the summer. Fans everywhere are speculating on who that “joker” might be this week.

Buddy Murphy Teases AEW Jump On Twitter

Buddy Murphy, now referred to as Buddy Matthews, added to this speculation by jumping on social media this past Sunday. He tweeted a Joker playing card and nothing else.

The tweet has since been deleted. This only further adds speculation about the entire thing.

Buddy Matthews joined the WWE in 2013. He started in NXT and became tag team champs of the brand with Wesley Blake.

He’d jump to the 205 LIVE brands in 2018. He even becomes WWE Cruiserweight Champion, too.

In 2019, he joined SmackDown and was drafted to RAW later in the year. Matthews would enjoy a nice tag title run with Seth Rollins.

Many fans have felt that WWE Creative dropped the ball on Buddy Murphy. He had so much potential.

Could Buddy Matthews become All Elite? He’s an incredible talent, and there are many out there hoping he does.

The WWE Universe recently learned that Rey and Dominik Mysterio have landed on RAW during WWE’s recent Draft shows. However, the bad news is, Rey-Rey had been sidelined.

Rey Mysterio Sidelined

Rey Mysterio hasn’t been seen in that squared circle for a little while now. That’s because he’s been sidelined due to a medical issue.

According to Fightful Select, Mysterio is not competing because he’s not cleared to do so. He was supposed to face off against Roman Reigns at a recent WWE live event.

Sadly, he was pulled from the match. Another bout was booked for the Bloodline as Rey could not perform.

What’s The Medical Issue?

As of this writing, the medical issues that have sidelined Rey Mysterio are undisclosed. There’s no official word on why or how long he’ll be out of action.

The silver lining seems to be that he’s well enough to accompany his son Dominik to the ring. This means fans will likely still see him appear on television.

However, most would agree that viewers would prefer watching him perform in the squared circle. Here’s hoping that whatever Rey-Rey is dealing with, he can heal up soon and get back into action.
