UFC Fight Night Results: Derek Brunson Submits Darren Till

Derek Brunson continued his climb up the middleweight ladder, submitting Darren Till Saturday.

Brunson earned his fifth consecutive victory, locking in a rear-naked choke in the third round. The bout aired live on ESPN+ from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

For Brunson, it also was his 23rd career win and fourth by submission. His last loss was to current champion Israel Adesanya in 2018.

In the co-main event, Tom Aspinall finished Sergey Spivak in the first round, while Alex Morono, Khalil Rountree Jr. and Paddy Pimblett all added main card wins.

Pimblett kicked off the show with a first round stoppage in his UFC debut over Luigi Vendramini.

On the prelims, Molly McCann, Jack Shore, Julian Erosa and Marc-Andre Barriault were all winners.

McCann and Ji Yeon Kim earned “Fight of the Night” with Pimblett and Aspinall earning “Performance of the Night” bonuses.

The UFC will take a week off before returning Saturday, September 18 with Anthony Smith vs. Ryan Spann in the main event.
