UFC Fight Night: Derek Brunson, Darren Till Set The Stage

Middleweights Derek Brunson and Darren Till will headline Saturday’s UFC card live on ESPN+.

Set from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, the event also features bouts in divisions from as big as heavyweight to as little as flyweight.

But all eyes will be on the main event and Brunson and Till.

Brunson comes in on the heels of a decision victory over Kevin Holland in his second consecutive headline bout. He has now won four in a row since a loss to current champion Israel Adesanya.

During that run, Brunson has finished Edmen Shahbazyan and topped Holland, Ian Heinisch and Elias Theodorou. Overall, he is 6-4 in his last 10, but the losses have come to Adesanya, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Anderson Silva and Robert Whittaker.

That is three fighters who have held or are holding the UFC title and another in Souza who was a Strikeforce champion.

Brunson is a sound 22-7 with 12 knockout and three more submission wins to his resume.

Till, meanwhile, is coming off a decision loss to Whittaker. That fight took place back in 2020, as the former title challenger has been on the sidelines since.

He is just 1-3 in his last four after starting his carer 17-0-1, but Till is always dangerous. His losses were to Whittaker, Jorge Masvidal and Tyron Woodley.

Till also picked up wins over Kelvin Gastelum, Stephen Thompson and Donald Cerrone.

As you can see by their past opponents, these are two of the more battle-tested fighters in the UFC today.

Needless to say, fight fans who tune in Saturday should be prepared for quite the battle between these two warriors.
