Triple H Has Heart Surgery

WWE released a statement regarding HHH’s condition. Apparently, the cardiac event was a result of a genetic heart issue.

At 52 years of age, Triple H had this surgery last week. An exact date was not provided.

WWE’s statement also reveals that the procedure was successful. It was done at Yale New Haven Hospital.

It notes that HHH, whose real name is Paul Levesque, is expected to make a full recovery. This is great news.

Here’s hoping The Game takes the time he needs to rest and get better. Sadly, this may mean that Hunter won’t be around for NXT’s big re-brand debut this September 14th.

This is too bad, but as long as he focuses on his health, everything else will work out fine. On behalf of everyone here at WNZ, we all wish him a speedy recovery.

From upsetting news about HHH to a little controversy over PWI and Kenny Omega. As a heel, will he use this to his advantage?

PWI Controversy Over Kenny Omega

Each year, Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) lists the best-of-the-best 500 wrestling talents from across the globe. It’s quite an honor for anyone to land on the list, let alone the top 10.

Kenny Omega continues to be on a roll. He won the AEW World Title in December.

This kicked off a nice run for him as a heel champion, at the top of the company. He’s had a successful reign so far.

Things are about to get interesting, as he’ll celebrate another huge milestone soon. Kenny’s hit the number one spot on PWI’s 500 list for 2021.

Interestingly enough, this was the second time he’s hit number one. Kenny first achieved this goal in 2018.

He hit PWI’s #1 spot back then after scoring the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Kenny also concluded an iconic program with Kazuchika Okada.

The Roman Reigns Factor

In 2019, Omega hit the 8th spot. Meanwhile, in 2020 Kenny dropped down to lucky #13 on the PWI list.

PWI’s Al Castle was on Busted Open Radio announcing Omega topped the list. Which had one fan questioning things.

Although Roman Reigns had a stellar year, he hit number two. According to Al, there was a debate on it.

He also notes that if it were “any other year”, Roman Reigns would have hit #1. However, this was “Omega’s” year.

Roman Reigns has hit the top spot on the PWI 500 list before. The year he achieved this was 2016.

After Omega and Reigns, Bobby Lashley hit third on the list. Meanwhile, Drew McIntrye ranked 4th.

Rounding out spots 5-10 are a nice mix of talent. In consecutive order, they are, Kota Ibushi, Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay, Finn Balor, Shingo Takagi, and Rich Swann.
