Johnny Gargano WWE Contract

WWE has had some interesting contract situations with superstars recently. As such, some have left the company for greener AEW pastures. A new report hints that Johnny Gargano could be the next one.

Johnny Gargano WWE Contract Update

The WWE’s roster has been thinning this year. First, because of releases and also due to contracts expiring.

News broke last week that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens could be the next set of superstars on their way out. As per a report from Fightful Select, Johnny Wrestling might also be exiting.

According to Fightful, Johnny Gargano’s NXT contract is set to expire. Actually, December 3rd is the exact date.

This information was confirmed on Monday. In addition, there have been no talks between the company and superstar yet.

More On Johnny Gargano WWE Contract + Negotiations

But, negotiations between the two should start in the fall. However, it’s important to note that unlike Pete Dunne and Adam Cole, Johnny’s contract expiring was no surprise.

Gargano has worked with the WWE since 2015. At that point in time, he had a per appearance deal.

He finally signed a deal in 2016. Will he decide to say with the WWE once negotiations start?

At the rate of superstars leaving the company, AEW can’t sign everyone. Still, Johnny Wrestling is a very unique talent.

Speaking of, one WWE release isn’t becoming All Elite like some. He’s choosing Major League Wrestling (MLW), instead.

Bobby Fish Heading To MLW

NXT’s mass releases are causing a wave in the indies. Some choose AEW, but there are other promotions out there too.

Bobby Fish was recently released from NXT. His contract ended on August 6th.

Recently speaking with Sports Illustrated, Fish reveals he’s heading to MLW.

The former NXT wrestler states during the interview that he’s “ready” to jump in “head first.” He also notes he “welcomes” this new challenge.

Fish adds that with MLW, he’s in a situation where he will have more “creative” room than what fans see now. Sounds like he’s quite excited about this opportunity.

Focused On The Future

Bobby notes during the interview that he is “more focused” on his future. He states that he is grateful for his NXT time.

He also adds that there were many “positives” being with the gold and black brands. Fish notes everything he and his three best friends accomplished was a humbling experience.

In addition, he states the experience of the Undisputed Era was quite special. Bobby also says that he may have an extra chip on his shoulder right now, but it may not be a bad thing.

At the age of 45, Bobby Fish is a tag team specialist. During his time at NXT, he held the tag titles twice with Kyle O’Reilly.

He won the year-end NXT Tag Team of the Year award in 2019 and 2020. Despite this, it seems as if Bobby Fish will end up having singles run at MLW.

He’ll compete during the MLW Opera Cup Tournament. This takes place Saturday, October 2nd.

Regardless, here’s wishing Bobby Fish nothing but success in this new chapter in his career. MLW is lucky to have to him.
