Britt Baker Thunder Rosa Rematch Could Change AEW Women’s Division

The Unsanctioned Match between Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker was such a big hit that AEW is allegedly considering a rematch. And it seems wrestling fans are excited about it too.

Thunder Rosa Versus Britt Baker AEW Rematch

Current rumors indicate that Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker could be heading for another rematch. If rumors are accurate, then Rosa and Baker will be facing each other again in early 2022.

Dave Meltzer, the famous wrestling reporter, has his own theory about the rematch.

“For whatever this is worth, the big Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa rematch will be built up at this point for a major match in early 2022.”

At the time of the match, Britt Baker was not yet with AEW full time. However, she was a massive hit with wrestling fans. 

AEW eventually decided to hire Rosa full-time. After all, fans were absolutely obsessed with the female wrestler.

Rosa and Baker have faced each other several times in the past. 

During the last Lights Out Match, Rosa took the win from Britt Baker. Naturally, this makes her an interesting competitor for a title match.

Of course, there is another competitor Britt Baker must overcome before the path leads to Thunder Rosa again. Obviously, that competitor is none other than Ruby Soho.

Ruby Soho made her AEW debut during All Out, where she won the Battle Royale for a championship opportunity. Ruby Soho does stand a decent chance to take the win from Britt Baker.

The Reaction From AEW Fans

Baker and Rosa both have a huge wrestling fanbase. So, there is quite a bit of interest in the match already.

The large majority of reactions on social media are overwhelmingly positive. And it is not difficult to see why.

Every time Baker and Rosa faced one another, it led to a stellar match. There is something about these two that just works.

Of course, AEW is not solely counting on the chemistry between these two wrestlers. Special stipulations are expected for their future match.

At the moment, AEW management has allegedly discussed several ideas. Some of the suggestions circulating online include hair and cage matches.

But for now, no real direction has been determined for the future match. While the direction may be unclear, Rosa and Baker are fully capable of putting AEW on the map. 

AEW established the men’s division already, but the women’s division is not. In spite of a talented roster, the women’s division still requires attention.

Rosa and Baker could convince Khan to invest in the women’s division a little more. And it may pull more interest from fans overall.

Baker and Rosa could be the women’s revolution AEW needs. And we cannot wait for it!

Unfortunately, we must wait until next year to see the match. But all good things are worth waiting for.

Rosa and Baker are the future of AEW. So, let’s see what they bring to the table in 2022.
