UFC 262: Tony Ferguson Talking A Big Game, Can He Deliver?

Former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson has found plenty of success inside the Octagon over the years.

However, he comes into UFC 262 and a co-main event bout vs. Beneil Dariush reeling.

But you would not know that from the way he is talking.

During the lead-up to Saturday night, Ferguson has claimed to “break” Dariush and actually break the rib of one of his students.

Big talk game? Or a big jerk?

Ferguson, during the pre-fight press conference kick-off, told Dariush that he would “slam you, I’m gonna, slam you like I did my student. I broke his (expletive) rib.”

Dariush quickly responded, asking “well, that’s a dick move. Why would you do that to your own student?”

Ferguson, not wanting to back down, stated “he made me do it.”

The 37-year-old Ferguson has always been a brash fighter, putting together a 25-5 record. However, he was topped by Justin Gaethje and fell to Charles Oliveira – who fights in the main event vs. Michael Chandler for the vacant lightweight title – recently.

Dariush, meanwhile, has won six in a row and comes in red-hot, having scored a finish in four of those victories to improve to 20-4-1 overall.

Who gets the win this Saturday night? The brash and talkative Ferguson? Or Mr. Relaxed, Dariush?
