With no Michael Bipsing anymore, the biggest and brightest star the UK had going for them in the Octagon talent pool was Darren Till. Sure, Till fell short when he challenged Tyron Woodley for the belt, but he was still the shining beacon of light in a sea of regional-level talent.
Too bad Jorge Masvidal murdered him yesterday. Not literally, although it definitely looked like a literal murder. In the main event of UFC on ESPN+5, Masvidal and Till did their stand-up thing.

Really, that was the most exciting thing to happen in the event. Leon Edwards ended up beating Gunnar Nelson by decision, Volkan Oezdemir lost a decision, Joe Duffy lost a decision. But Masvidal put an exclamation point on things…
…And now the UK has settle for a bunch of UFC fighters that are good, but not quite among the elite.
