It looked like Johnny Walker’s rise up the UFC’s light-heavyweight rankings might be sidelined for a while, as a result of his post-fight celebration a UFC 235 going dramatically wrong. But the rising star’s reported he believes the injury he sustained isn’t too serious after all.
Walker dropped jaws (once again) on Saturday night by flooring Misha Cirkunov with a flying knee. But, after the charismatic fighter slammed to the mat in an apparent effort to do the worm, it became clear something had gone wrong…
Well, Walker relayed that night he had injured his shoulder, and more recently, the Brazilian fighter posted this:
I’m fine, my shoulder is not too bad, I just need to go do some exams and check to be 100% sure that it was nothing serious
EU estou bem , meu ombro nao esta muito ruim , so preciso ir fazer alguns exames e checar para tem 100 % de certeza que nao foi nada serio

So, hopefully the tests go well and the 26-year-old will be back in the Octagon sooner than later. The victory on Saturday was moved Walker’s UFC record to 3-0.
