It sounds like Conor McGregor is a fan of Joe Rogan and his podcast, but the “Notorious” one has some issues with how the veteran commentator has called some of his bouts.

McGregor was in Chicago this past weekend attending Saint Patrick’s Day festivities, and at one juncture, he ended up fielding questions from fans. During the Q&A, McGregor was asked about the possibility of appearing on Rogan’s podcast, The former featherweight and lightweight champ said this (quotes via BJ Penn.com):

“He’s a great man, he’s got a great following, he’s got crazy insight, gets great guests, maybe at some stage of the game I’ll be on his podcast, who knows,” McGregor said. “I’d like him to call a fight how he sees it correctly, instead of reading off a script though.”

“The Diaz rematch it was like he was reading a script from the first fight and that last one [against Khabib Nurmagomedov], he was talking about my face was being smashed in,” he added. “I left that Octagon with a black eye, the same way his two rat cousins left with. His brother and his cousin left the Octagon with a black eye, so what is he [Rogan] talking about? But maybe one day I’ll be a guest on his podcast.”

McGregor is referencing his epic battles with Nate Diaz in 2016, which saw him lose the first bout via submission, before earning a decision win in the victory. In addition, the Irish star was referring to his submission loss to Nurmagomedov this past October, and the ugly brawl that ensued afterward.

Did Rogan miscall McGregor’s last few fights?
