Conor McGregor Calls For “Exhibition” MMA Bout With Tenshin Nasukawa

It remains to be seen when and who Conor McGregor will fight next, but recently the former UFC champ called for an “exhibition”, MMA fight with Tenshin Nasukawa.

If you’re a big combat sports fan you know that Nasukawa is the fighter who recently boxed Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an ‘exhibition’ match, and was stopped in the first round. Nasukawa is one of Japan’s fastest rising stars, as he’s only 20-year’s oldĀ and has gone 28-0 in pro-kickboxing and 4-0 in pro-MMA.

Well, recently McGregor tweeted out this comment:

I wish to go to Tokyo to face Tenshin Nasukawa in a Mixed Martial Arts exhibition bout.
Before this summer.
Please arrange this, this instant.
Yours sincerely
The champ champ.

So, is McGregor trolling here? Hard to say. On one hand, he has to understand that the chances of this happening are slim to none, since Nasukawa fights for Rizin. He’s also considerably bigger than Nasukawa. Also, why did he include the “exhibition” part? Could that be a reference to the fact Mayweather Jr. apparently made $9 million for a bout that won’t count on his record?

All that said, it is somewhat interesting that he included the UFC and his management company, Paradigm.

McGregor also boxed Mayweather Jr. in 2017 and was stopped in the tenth round.
