War Games – The NXT Pay-Per-View You Cannot Miss On Saturday!

Many loyal wrestling fans are looking forward more to NXT pay-per-views than main roster events; this is also the case for myself this weekend, as I find I’m a lot more intrigued by War Games. Here are the matches we can expect and why we cannot miss it! One thing I can tell you already, War Games in Los Angeles will be EPIC!

Johnny Gargano versus Aleister Black

I am loving the rivalry between Gargano and Black. Not only was it built superbly over the course of several months, Gargano’s heel turn makes for quite the unique rivalry.

Whether Black gets his revenge on Gargano will depend on the length of this rivalry. If I am honest, I think one match between these two is not enough. While I LOVED the rivalry between Gargano and Ciampa, I would love to see a couple of main events with Black and Gargano, too.

Of course, there is a flip-side to this match, albeit a small one. Both Gargano and Black are strikers where style is concerned, so it could become a little repetitive depending on which style they decide to go for. Despite that, their previous confrontations over the past couple of weeks have been entertaining!

Shayna Baszler versus Kairi Sane

The feud between Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane has been interesting to say the least! While I’m not a big fan of Baszler’s style, she is one of those people you love to hate.

After her controversial win against Sane and regaining her NXT Women’s Championship for the second time, Baszler will defend her title during a two-out-of-three falls match. The real question, will Baszler’s MMA buddies interfere again?

Tomasso Ciampa versus Velveteen Dream

Velveteen Dream is getting his chance at the NXT Championship belt, but must go through Ciampa to get it. While Ciampa is undoubtedly one of the most hated NXT champions for all the right reasons, Velveteen still needs that championship reign.

That being said, you do not need an NXT championship reign to be successful on the main roster. Just look at Alexa Bliss. She never held the NXT women’s championship, but became one of the first women drafted and is now a multiple women’s champion.

While I love Ciampa as the heel champion, Velveteen could make things more interesting in a long feud. So, why not keep this story going a little longer!

The War Games Match!

War Games is becoming a tradition and the second running of War Games is promising to be just as good as the first. Included in the match are the Undisputed Era, War Raiders, Ricochet, and Pete Dunne. Some of the most decorated NXT and indie stars are battling things out, and I could not be more excited for it.
