UFC Fight Night 139 Results: Yair Rodriguez Makes History

As the UFC celebrated its 25th anniversary, Yair Rodriguez marked himself down in the history books.

Rodriguez landed a devastating elbow on Chan Sung Jung, finishing “The Korean Zombie” at the 4:59 mark of the fifth round in the main event of UFC Fight Night 139 Saturday evening.

The finish was the latest knockout in UFC history, coming with just a second on the clock inside the Pepsi Center in Denver. It marked 25 years from UFC 1, which also went down in Denver.

In the co-main event, Donald Cerrone locked up an armbar submission on Mike Perry, which resulted in a broken arm for Perry.

Former champion Germaine de Randamie bested Raquel Pennington via decision, with Beneil Dariush, Maycee Barber and Mike Trizano also picking up main card wins on FOX Sports 1.

Ashley Yoder, Bobby Moffett, Davi Ramos, Devonte Smith, Eric Shelton and Mark de la Rosa were all prelim winners on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Rodriguez was a double-bonus winner, sharing “Fight of the Night” and earning a “Performance of the Night” bonus with Cerrone.

The attendance was announced at 11,426 for a live gate of $946,706.
