Anderson Silva Reports What’s The “Good” Weight For Scrap With Conor McGregor

Shortly before Conor McGregor lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, the star relayed that he would be interested in fighting Anderson Silva down the line. Well, since then, “The Spider’s” said he’s on board, and now he’s also proposed a weight for the match-up

Not long after McGregor reported that he’s interested in fighting the legend, while speaking to ESPN, Silva responded with a yes via social media. More recently, TMZ caught up with the former middleweight champ, and when asked about McGregor, Silva said this (quotes via MMA Junkie):

“I think (UFC president Dana White needs) to think about this,” Silva said. “Because it’s two big guys in this sport. Two big names – yes, absolutely, two big legends. And, why not?”

“I think 180 for me is good. I think to Conor, (it’s good) too. Because it’s a super fight, it’s not about weight class.”

There you have it. So, could this actually happen? The UFC might be hesitant to put McGregor in a bout, where, he would be considerably outsized. Especially on the heels of a clear cut, loss to Khabib Nurmagmedov. But it would certainly move a ton of tickets and pay-per-view buys.
