Recent wrestling news reveals that Shinsuke Nakamura is injured. However, the injury is not related to wrestling! Instead, a police dog attacked the King Of Strong Style!
Police Dog Bites Shinsuke
According to PW Insider, Shinsuke Nakamura got bitten by a police dog during a security check at a house show in Bakersfield. It appears the dog bit Shinsuke on the leg.
Shinsuke was scheduled to fight on June 26, but WWE pulled him from the show. There is no news regarding matches in the nearby future; this includes two house shows in Japan this weekend.

Statement Released by the Bakersfield Police Department
The incident occurred during a protective sweep of the arena before the SmackDown Live event on June 25th :
“As the sweep took place the WWE employee was accidentally bit by the canine. The employee sustained an injury to his lower left leg. Medical aid was immediately summoned to the scene and the employee was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.”
Nakamura’s Missing Two Weeks?
According to Nikkan Sports (via Wrestling-News), Nakamura will miss a few more weeks due to the injury. I wonder if the bite fractured a bone in his leg? Belgian Malonis, the most common drug-sniffing dog, can have a bite force of nearly 200 pounds.
Wrestlers Love Animals…Really
Despite the unfortunate incident with Shinsuke Nakamura, most wrestlers have a good bond with animals. Even though they might not work with animals in the ring, many WWE wrestlers have a pet of their own. Here are some of our top picks.
Natalya & 2Pawz
The WWE superstar who is most prolific about her love for her pet is Natalya. In fact, she made her cat a genuine internet celebrity, which even comes with 2Pawz merchandise!
Seth Rollins and Kevin
When you ask Seth Rollins about his best friend, he may say his name is Kevin. We are not talking about Kevin Owens though but about his little dog Kevin!
Goldberg and Goatberg
Oh the silliness of it all, but I love this one. Goldberg is a big animal lover, ranging from cats to goats! Yes, Goldberg has a pet goat named Goatberg. You cannot make this stuff up!
Stephanie McMahon & Andre
Stephanie McMahon and Triple H adopted a cute British mastiff in 2016. It was the cutest little puppy, but now Andre has grown into one of the biggest dogs you have ever seen. It seems there is a reason why they named the dog Andre.
The lesson to learn from our animal-loving overview? Animals should not be feared, even after an unfortunate incident like the one involving Shinsuke.
