Congratulations WWE! You’ve officially made me so sick and tired of Brock Lesnar, I do not care anymore. I do not care about his title defenses, nor do I care one little bit about the WWE Universal Championship. Still, as a wrestling reporter, I must report on any title defense updates in the future, so my prolonged suffering continues.

There appear to be some plans in the works for Brock Lesnar at Summerslam (if he graces us with his presence). While there are many people who could be facing ‘The Beast,’ there is one man that keeps on leaping to the forefront.

Roman Gets a Rematch

I wish I could say this was a surprise, but it is not. The latest match between Lesnar and Reigns ended in some controversy, so it is likely the WWE is looking for some resolve.

One of the people who claim Reigns is the most likely person to take on Lesnar at Summerslam is Dave Meltzer. He bases his opinion on WWE’s commentary team and Michael Cole in particular. He noted that Cole discussed many times how Reigns was cheated out of the title at the Greatest Royal Rumble, leading him to believe the WWE is building towards another Roman versus Lesnar match.

Even though Roman Reigns is being named by most people to take on Brock Lesnar at Summerslam, other names have circulated as well; this includes Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman. Still, even if the WWE decided to choose Rollins or Strowman, there is no way on God’s green earth they could get a decent match out of Lesnar anyway. So, I ask you, my dear readers, should we even care anymore?

Should We Care About the Brock Lesnar Summerslam Match-Up?

I don’t care at this point. There is only so much Roman can do during a match with Brock Lesnar. It became evident during the Greatest Royal Rumble how ill-prepared Lesnar was, not to mention the fact that there was no trace left of the epic ‘Beast’ wrestler we once knew. No, a good payday seems more critical for Lesnar these days than putting a good show on for the fans who supported him.

Why is the WWE so complacent with Lesnar? If any other wrestler put on bad matches like that, they would drop the title in a heartbeat! Instead, the WWE keeps tormenting us with a lack of appearances, an uncaring paper champion, and matches nobody cares about.

I want to go to the doctor to have my ears sewn shut. Possibly my eyes too at this point. Can someone, ANYONE, please take that title away from Lesnar? God, I miss good wrestling! If not for NXT and former NXT superstars, the WWE would have killed good wrestling already.
