Here are five fast facts you should know about Alicia Fox.

5. She’s WWE’s longest-tenured female performer

Here’s a fact that will blow your mind: Alicia Fox is WWE’s longest tenured female performer, having been with the company since 2006.

Fox has been with WWE so long that she started out in Ohio Valley Wrestling. She made her debut on July 1, 2006 as a special guest referee in a match between Shelly Martinez and ODB; she was just 20 years old. From there she moved to FCW, and made her main roster debut on SmackDown in 2008. While she’s definitely had her ups and down with the company since, Fox has been employed by WWE an uninterrupted 12 years, and that’s truly remarkable.

4. She’s a former model

Given how long Fox has been with WWE, it should come as no surprise that she’s a former model; after all, back in the aughts WWE recruited women based on their looks more than their in-ring ability.

John Laurinaitis spotted Fox in a fashion magazine and suggested that WWE reach out to her. Luckily for fans, she turned out to be more than just a pretty face – but she’s clearly still very interested in modeling.

3. She lost her WrestleMania debut match to Santina Marella

Fox made her WrestleMania debut in 2009 at WrestleMania XXV, where she lost a 25-Diva “Miss WrestleMania” Battle Royal to Santina Marella – a.k.a. Santino Morello in drag. Certainly not the most desirable WrestleMania debut, but then again, most wrestlers never make it to the grandest stage of them all.

2. She has an unrecognized championship reign

Alicia Fox is on the record as being a one-time Divas Champion. However, she’s also a one-time OVW Women’s Champion – but OVW does not recognize her reign.

On October 20, 2006, Fox – then competing as Victoria Crawford – won a gauntlet match to capture the OVW Women’s Championship from Beth Phoenix. However, Phoenix recaptured the title in an eight-woman elimination match the next night, and OVW does not recognize Fox’s win. Essentially, the shows on which Fox won and subsequently lost the championship were house shows, and Phoenix’s reign appeared uninterrupted on the OVW TV tapings.

1. She was the first (and only) African-American Divas Champion

The WWE Divas Championship might not be the most venerated championship in history, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that Alicia Fox made history herself when she became the first and only African-American to hold the Divas title.

Fox won the Divas Championship in a fatal four-way match against Gail Kim, Maryse, and defending champion Eve Torres at the 2010 Fatal 4-Way PPV. Unfortunately, her reign was relatively short – she lost the title just 56 days later to Melina at SummerSlam. Nevertheless, that’s an accomplishment Fox can always be proud of.
