The match Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle versus Stephanie McMahon and Triple H has been a long time coming. Ever since Ronda appeared during Wrestlemania 31 and got Stephanie into an armbar, people have wanted to see a match between the two. Now, we are getting that match at WrestleMania 34!
Sandra’s Predictions
This is one of the matches I look forward to the most for many reasons. Firstly, we get to see Rousey in a full match, but we also get three legends right alongside her.
WrestleMania would not be complete without an epic entrance from Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Every year, they take the prize of best entrance in my opinion, so this is one of the things I look forward to the most at WrestleMania. We may be missing pyro during regular episodes of Raw, but we will get an epic entrance at WrestleMania 34!
I am also looking forward to seeing Ronda wrestle a full match. While there is no doubt the WWE is still protecting Rousey by not giving her a single’s match, being a good wrestler requires years of training, unfortunately, Rousey does not have that. She has been on the other spectrum of sports hurting her opponents. Now, she must protect other wrestlers in the ring, and that will take some work. So, there is indeed loads of pressure for the former mixed martial artist.
In addition to an epic entrance and seeing Rousey wrestle a bit longer than we have seen so far, I also predict a lot of cheating from Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. They would not be the Authority without their mean streak and ability for deception. I am sure we will get some masterpieces from the two experienced veterans.
Of course, fans want to see one more thing during the match and that is Kurt Angle’s ankle lock. I have no doubt we will get an ankle lock on Triple H, but I do not think the ankle lock will win the match. I do believe Ronda will make Stephanie submit with her own submission move.
Leave all the frills and interesting mini bits on the side, I believe Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle must take the win. Remember, Rousey is a recent signing and a genuine celebrity, so the WWE must make her look strong, especially if they are considering a dream booking with her and Asuka. Therefore, I believe Rousey and Angle will take the win.

Katie’s Predictions
This match will set the tone for Ronda Rousey’s pro wrestling career, and for that reason alone it’s the most significant match on the card.
Those of you who have followed my writing about Rousey on this site know that I’ve been at worst skeptical and at best cautiously optimistic about her ability to succeed in WWE. I’m happy to report that last week’s episode of Raw was the first time I didn’t cringe at her acting/promo. That’s good; it means she’s learning. But as Paige pointed out when Absolution interrupted, an in-ring debut at WrestleMania is a whole lotta pressure. But luckily for Rousey, as she pointed out, she has Kurt Angle watching her back.
As Sandra stated above, I’m interested to see Ronda wrestle a full match, although I don’t expect her to do much more than a few “OMG” spots. In the world of pro wrestling, she’s still a rookie. Stephanie McMahon is no wrestler herself, which is good for Rousey. Ronda won’t have to worry about being nearly as technically sound as she would be if she were wrestling someone with more experience.
Speaking of Stephanie, I expect her to avoid getting in the ring with Ronda at all costs. Angle and Triple H will carry the bulk of the action of this match. Expect Ronda and Stephanie play a game of cat and mouse. Eventually, Ronda will catch Stephanie and make her submit in the middle of the ring, picking up the win.
Despite all of its implications, I not excited for this match. It will be entertaining, of that there’s no doubt. But the in-ring action will be far from the most exciting of the night. It will be more interesting, in my opinion, to see how WWE moves forward with introducing Rousey into the women’s division. Does Absolution and former MMAristist Sonya Deville come into play? We shall see.
Hunter’s Predictions
Every year this happens: Trips and Steph get fans riled up when the power couple puts themselves into a significant rivalry. Everyone gets all testy thinking Trips, and Stephanie will ‘bury’ another rising talent in the bid to make themselves the stars. And every year, Triple H and Stephanie get embarrassed. Steph gets DESTROYED one way or the other.
Triple H and Stephanie are professional bad people. They’re the worst of the worst. They spend all year building up animosity only to get defeated on the grandest stage of them all. This year won’t be any different.
I expect this match to be in the 10-15 minutes range. Ronda and Kurt will win. The only question is how? The easy answer is that Ronda taps out Stephanie. But I think Ronda breaks out a Judo-esque finisher for the pinfall victory. Kurt and Trips will each try to destroy and out-do each other. No one in this match has ever half-assed anything in their life. It won’t shock me if Stephanie breaks an arm to get the match over. Kurt Angle is broken and legally a cripple but will still suplex and stretch out every one he gets in the ring with.
Despite what some people hope (and many fear) this will not be the main event. This will be the middle-match either before or after an “intermission” of a musical guest or video package. This will not be a great match, but the crowd will be very into it, and it will get the most mainstream press. Because of that, it is vital for the company and Rousey’s future that she wins and wins conclusively.
