Seth Rollins Makes WWE History With Mania Win

All my hopes and dreams came true at WrestleMania 34 when Seth Rollins defeated The Miz and Finn Balor to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

With that win, Rollins became a Grand Slam Champion – the third and final member of The Shield to do so. But, even though he was last, Rollins definitely did it with the most style: the Kingslayer entered the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as the Night King.

Sadly, he didn’t wrestle in the blue contacts. But as someone who’s worn costume contact lenses before, I can’t say I blame him.

I couldn’t be happier for Rollins. He’s clawed his way back to the top following a devastating injury and notched himself another amazing WrestleMania moment. Also, an interesting note pointed out by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp: he’s won at every WrestleMania he has been a part of.

And since we’re sharing interesting stats, here’s another. The order of The Shield becoming Grand Slam Champions goes 1) Dean Ambrose; 2) Roman Reigns; 3) Seth Rollins. But the order of them each winning their first WWE World Championship goes the exact opposite.

Congratulations, Kingslayer!
