The WWE has announced the arrival of “The Greatest Royal Rumble,” a ground-breaking live event that will take place in Saudi Arabia. The April 27th event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is shaping up to be one of the biggest cards in WWE history. Not only will there be a 50-man “Greatest Royal Rumble.”
It isn’t just a 50 man Greatest Rumble; every male main roster title will be defended at the show as well. John Cena will wrestle Triple H for the first time in 8 years! The IC Title will be defended in a ladder match between Miz, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and Samoa Joe. The Hardys will also go after the Raw Tag Titles against Sheamus and Cesaro…assuming the two don’t lose the title to Braun Strowman at Wrestlemania.
Who Will Participate in the Greatest Royal Rumble?
The WWE has yet to release the prize for the winner of the Greatest Royal Rumble. Still, it is common for the Rumble to have surprise entrants that are not necessarily on the roster. WWE announced the first five entrants in the Rumble. They are huge!
WWE Superstars Daniel Bryan, Kane, Big Show, Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt are the first of 50 Superstars to officially enter the Greatest Royal Rumble Match, which will take place at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday, April 27, at 7 p.m. AST. Tickets for this historic event will be available on Friday, April 13. The Greatest Royal Rumble will stream live on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view outside of the Middle East with regional broadcast information forthcoming.
WWE also confirmed there would be no women wrestling on the card. Despite Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks making history last year in the Middle East, the devoutly Islamic countries are still not quite accepting of female’s wrestling.
