Chris Jericho Claims He’s ‘King Of The Casket Match’

Originally, The Undertaker was set to face Rusev in a Casket Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event on April 27 in Saudi Arabia. But now Rusev is out and Chris Jericho is in, and with little time and no TV appearances to hype the match, Jericho has taken to calling himself the “King of the Casket Match,” claiming that he’s undefeated in Casket Matches.

Well, of course Jericho is undefeated in Casket Matches – he’s never been in one.

According to Pro Wrestling Wikia, there have been 18 Casket Matches in WWE’s history. The Undertaker was in all but three of them. Meanwhile, Jericho was in zero.

But if Pro Wrestling Wikia isn’t a good enough source for you, WWE also pointed out the glaring fact that Jericho has never competed in a Casket Match:

Although Jericho has never been a part of such an ominous showdown, WWE’s first Undisputed Champion has battled in virtually every other kind of match WWE has to offer, and if his extensive résumé says anything, it’s that he knows how to win when it counts.

In that case, I too am undefeated in Casket Matches, as well as WrestleMania matches – which is more than either Jericho or The Undertaker can say.

Never change, Chris Jericho. Never change.
