Did Jeff Hardy’s recent arrest reveal some tension amongst the Hardy Family? Truly committed to his “Woken” persona, Matt channeled his bizarre time-traveling alter-ego to address the incident. Matt’s wife Reby Hardy also responded.

Is it possible the Hardys will use this incident as fuel for a feud? That isn’t outside of the realm of possibility. The family is known for bringing profoundly personal and potentially embarrassing matters into the wrestling ring to further a story. Jeff and Matt’s issues with drugs and alcohol have often been used. Matt even used Lita cheating on him with Edge to create one of the most compelling feuds in recent memory.
That’s the most likely explanation. The Hardys are close and live in the same sprawling compound. They’ve feuded against each other only a few times in their careers, but each time has been excellent. Here’s hoping that something good can come out of this sad situation.
As we said previously, Jeff will be back in WWE soon. This is not considered a particularly severe crime by Hardy, especially since no one was harmed and it occurred when he was away from the company.
However, The Charismatic Enigma may not be involved in the “Final Deletion” storyline between his brother Matt and Bray Wyatt. Reports earlier in the week stated that Jeff was involved in the filming before his arrest. Matt’s wife, Reby Hardy (known has Queen Rebecca Hardy in WWE now) had the following to say about Jeff’s transgressions and his involvement in Final Deletion.

In response to a fan on Instagram that suggested that Jeff was “needed” for Ultimate Deletion, Reby said the following: “Matt has busted his ass to get to this point. He & I have been fighting for this to happen for nearly a year. After the hard work & $50k+ in legal fees that *WE* paid, I’m gonna have to say NO. He is not “needed”. Jeff is clearly doing his own thing & it has nothing to do with us right now.”
She also had this to say in response to reports that she was not involved creatively with the project.

Could this be all part of the story? Sure. But Reby has shown a willingness in the past to defend her family, the Broken gimmick, and herself in the face of criticism. While Matt tends to be more abstract, Reby isn’t afraid to get down into the comments with people. We’ll see how much Jeff is involved on Monday the 19th.
