We’d like to extend our sincere condolences to NXT star and new tag champion Kyle O’Reilly, who lost his mother to the scourge of cancer. O’Reilly’s mother passed away last week. That was the same week that O’Reilly and teammate Bobby Fish won the NXT tag titles from SaNiTY.
On Wednesday November 29, Heaven gained another angel. After a short yet courageous battle with Cancer my beloved Mother has passed away. She was the sweetest and kindest woman I’ve ever known and encouraged me to chase my dreams. She was a devoted wife, Mother and nurse who dedicated her life to caring for those in need. I’m so proud to be your son. Rest In Peace Janie Elizabeth Greenwood aka Mom. “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always…”
O’Reilly isn’t the first WWE roster member to lose a loved one this year. Dana Brooke’s boyfriend died from an undisclosed illness over the summer. Former NXT tag champ and former Impact stalwart Eric Young lost his mother earlier this year as well.
