Everyone expected Hulk Hogan to make his return to the WWE this past year, but it did not happen. After the incident with the Hulk Hogan tapes, the WWE has been holding off on making the veteran return. However, Jim Ross believes this will change in 2018! Here is the story!
Statements Made By Jim Ross
Jim Ross is one of the people who bbelieveHulk Hogan must be making his return in 2018. I believe this to be correct as well because many people have been screaming for the Hulkster’s return. If I am allowed a guess, I would think Hogan makes his return at WrestleMania. However, if they want to keep it a little low key, they might choose one of the smaller pay-per-views.
This is what Jim Ross had to say about a possible return for Hulk Hogan in 2018:
“I don’t have any insider knowledge that Hulk will be back in WWE, but if he isn’t in 2018, I will be shocked.”
As his statement already indicated, Jim Ross has no insider knowledge on a possible return for Hulk Hogan in 2018, but you do have to wonder if his statement is based on some backstage rumblings within the WWE?
“The world has an interesting way of forgiving others. The guy paid his price. He had a trial. He lost jobs. He had a court case. I don’t know what more he needs to do. And why are we his judge and jury? It seems right for, arguably the greatest alumnus of WWE ever with the most global name identity, will make his presence felt in WWE in some way. “
I agree with this statement by Jim Ross. Everyone makes mistakes, and fans seem to have forgiven Hogan a long time ago. Of course, the WWE could put themselves in a precarious position by rehiring Hogan. Still, I do think the WWE will accept Hogan with open arms again.
“I don’t know what Terry – Hulk Hogan is able to do physically. I know he’s still training. He’s about my age — 64, but he’s in really good shape. He looks awesome. So, I would say that Hulk is – there’s a ticket for Hulk to punch somewhere to get back in WWE, at least on a reoccurring role-type basis, in my opinion.”
Much like Jim Ross, I don’t believe Hogan will be wrestling. I do believe he could play an important role within the company. Maybe he could be a part of the SmackDown vs. Raw rivalry?
Removing Hogan from WWE.Com
When the news about Hogan came out, the WWE almost immediately terminated his contract. Aside from that, they also removed any trace of him from the WWE.com. This includes his profile, merchandise, and photographs. His matches remain on the WWE Network, however.
While doing my research into this story, I noticed that the WWE has not reinstated his profile page. While I can easily find some matches involving Hogan on the WWE Network, it would seem that the WWE has not reinstated the veteran wrestlers as of yet.
