John Cena’s Best Movie Roles, Ranked

John Cena is transitioning away from the ring. He is becoming a part-time wrestler and a full-time Hollywood actor. The Face That Runs The Place is quickly becoming a bankable Hollywood star. He just has a few roles to his name but he’s proving he has what it takes to be a leading man.

So, let’s take a look at the best of Cena’s career so far. Some of these roles play to Cena’s strengths literally. While a few others do a good job of showcasing his range as a serious and a comedic actor.

Here they are, John Cena’s five best film roles!!

5. The Wall (2017)

John’s moved beyond the standard Straight-to-DVD WWE Films and onto big blockbusters. But he’s also dabbling in independent low-budget drama as well. Cena starred in The Wall alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Godzilla, Age of Ultron) as an Army sniper hunting down a sadistic Iraqi sniper. The movie was directed by the man behind Mr. And Mrs. Smith and The Bourne Identity. John is famously a big supporter of our military, so I’m glad he finally had the chance to portray a hero. What was good about this film was that Cena showed he could move beyond being a meat-head action star.

4. Sisters (2015)

Cena had a small but memorable role as Pazuzu, the most fearsome drug dealer on the planet. Cena with a flaming skull neck tattoo and fists of fire were enough to frighten and attract Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. John also had a chance to show off his physical skills in a fight against a very inebriated party guest. Cena got to show-off his arms, pecs and his great comedic timing. He was only in a few scenes but he stole the movie, in my opinion.

3. Daddy’s Home (2015) And Daddy’s Home Two (2017)

While he just had a cameo in the first movie of the series, his brief appearance as a set-up for the sequel proved that he was going to be a big player. Cena’s Roger is a bad-ass who isn’t to be trifled with.

Cena has a larger role in the sequel.

I haven’t seen the first movie, but with Cena having a bigger role, I think I’d be really down to see Daddy’s Home 2!
