No one stays in WWE forever. Well, unless you’re Triple H or the Undertaker. Talent comes and goes for a variety of reasons. Neville recently walked out of WWE due to issues with his character. WWE periodically releases stars who haven’t been seen on television. This is due to budget constraints and wrestlers’ desiring to do something outside of the company. In what could be the start of a lot of releases, WWE has announced three stars are gone from the company.
WWE has come to terms on the releases of WWE Superstars Emma, Darren Young and Summer Rae.
WWE wishes them the best in all of their future endeavors.
This isn’t the first time Emma was let go from WWE. In 2014 she was wrongfully arrested for shoplifting. WWE released and then re-signed her within a day of the incident.
What’s strange is that Emma was recently given a micro-push due to her #GiveEmmaAChance campaign on social media. She won a match to compete against Asuka at TLC. During this match and the rematch on Raw, Emma got in a great deal of offense and didn’t look weak. Before this, the Australian star had an aborted re-brand as a vivacious alter-ego Emmalina. The build featured months of vignettes and a single appearance on Raw.
Both Summer Rae and Darren Young have been sidelined with injuries for the last year and haven’t been seen on TV in a long time.
Emma, real name Tenille Dashwood, was a fixture on the women’s independent scene before she was signed with WWE. The indie scene is booming right now, especially for women. There’s a lot of opportunities for women wrestlers on the scene right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up in Shine, Shimmer, or even over in Japan at Stardom, Ice Ribbon, or Reina.
Summer Rae worked in the Lingerie Football League and modeled before going to WWE. She recently moved to Los Angeles and seems to be re-starting her modeling career.
Summer, from what I heard, was a long time coming. Got management/representation months ago in preparation for this. https://t.co/Rv4npU6fph

Darren Young wrestled on the indies before participating in a season of NXT. I would expect to see him back on the scene in no time, pending healing from his injuries.
There’s also a possibility that these aren’t the only releases coming today. This could also mean that WWE is planning to bring up a lot of NXT talent and needed room/budget on the main roster.
also don't get too worried as i do not have any names yet.
but i'm getting word that emma isnt the only one getting release papers today… https://t.co/kQ9Q4E9YvA
