Change.org Petition Demands Roman Reigns Be Arrested For Attempted Murder

The “Ambulance Match” at Great Balls of Fire against Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns was epic. But it is what happened after the match that had everyone talking.

After losing the match Reigns became incensed. He speared Strowman, threw him into the ambulance and drove into the backstage area. Reigns then did the unthinkable. He rammed the ambulance into a trailer. The entire back of the vehicle was crushed.

Reigns then stumbled away. Kurt Angle, other WWE officials, and the paramedics rushed to the scene to help Strowman. Eventually, the jaws of life had to be used to free Strowman. The Monster Among Men refused help and stumbled away from the scene, his face covered in blood.

Many believe that the incident was a “double-turn” meant to turn Roman into a bad guy and Strowman into a hero.

Fans took to Change.org and wrote a petition DEMANDING that Reigns be arrested and charged with attempted murder.

Less than an hour ago, at the WWE Great Balls Of Fire PPV, Roman Reigns was a sore loser, he lost to Braun Strowman, and then proceeded to spear him after the match, send him into the ambulance, pushed the driver out, drove it backstage and and drove it into the back of a trailer. The man left an injured victor, trapped in a ambulance for a solid 10+ minutes. We need to have this happen. OOOWWWAAAAHHHH

I question the sincerity of the petition, but as of publishing time over 1400 had signed the petition demanding the arrest of the Big Dog.

WWE is playing up the incident. There is not a sense of Reigns doing what he had to do to put away Strowman. Instead, WWE portrays Roman as an unhinged monster who went too far. Just look at how they frame the incident on their front page.

That is not how you sell Reigns as a good guy. So, is the change coming? Is Reigns actually going to be a bad guy? We will see how it unfolds in the weeks to come. Here’s how WWE is talking about it on their website:

Move over, after Reigns took things way too far by crashing the ambulance into another vehicle with The Monster Among Men in the back in the aftermath of their contest, it would stand to reason that Raw General Manager Kurt Angle would be ready to hold The Guy accountable rather than reward him with a title match at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

Looks like to me that Reigns will not be getting his title shot at Summerslam. Not only did he lose, but his behavior after the match surely merits some punishment. There are also rumors that Lesnar loved his match with Samoa Joe and the two have such great chemistry there might be a rematch in the works.

We’re on the road to the biggest party of the summer and there’s a lot on the line. WWE is humming on all cylinders and keeping the intrigue hot.
