Love is a wonderful thing, and wrestlers certainly do not escape it grip; this was certainly clear at WrestleMania, when John Cena finally proposed to Nikki. To celebrate the engagement of John Cena and Nikki Bella, let us take a look at some of the other prolific real life couples of wrestling!
Brock Lesnar and Sable
Despite a considerable age difference, Brock Lesnar and Sable are still one of the world’s most prolific wrestling couples. Before marrying Lesnar in 2006, Sable was married to Wayne Richardson and Marc Mero. Sable and Brock have two sons together, Turk and Duke, but also two other children from their previous relationships Mya Lynn and Mariah.
Michelle McCool and the Undertaker
Not many people are aware that the Undertaker is actually married to former Diva Michelle McCool. The couple dated for a number of years and eventually got married in 2010. Two years later, the couple had their first child. Together, they are also raising three other children from the Undertaker’s previous marriages.
CM Punk and AJ Lee
CM Punk and AJ Lee are probably the best-known couple on the list. Despite their soured relationship with WWE, the couple will always be tied to the company. Their relationship started during their wrestling career at the WWE. Before marrying AJ Lee, CM Punk dated Lita from 2012 to 2013.
Paige and Alberto Del Rio
When it comes down to a current wrestling couple surrounded by the most scandal, Paige and Alberto Del Rio are certainly the ones. I personally did not get the major reaction to their relationship in the first place; they’re simply two people who are in love. I only started to get bothered when Paige seemed to be involved with loads of scandals that could jeopardize her career. It is currently unclear if Paige still has a future with the company, but I hope there is a happy future in store for her and Del Rio.
Beth Phoenix and Edge
At this year’s Hall of Fame induction of Beth Phoenix, it was clear that the Glamazon and the 11-time world champion are still happily married. Even though Edge has two failed marriages and a scandalous relationship with Lita in his past, he seems to have found true happiness with Beth.
The Miz and Maryse
The Miz and Maryse have been dating for many years and eventually got married in the Bahama’s in 2014. The couple currently resides in Los Angeles and their life together has been featured in Total Divas. I for one, absolutely adore Miz and Maryse!
Tyson Kidd and Natalya
One of the longest relationships in the WWE undoubtedly belongs to Tyson Kidd and Natalya. The couple have been dating since they were kids and married in 2013. They met when Tyson trained with the Hart family. He was also the last graduate of the infamous Hart dungeon.
