Vince McMahon announced that changes will happen on the SmackDown and RAW rosters. He called the changes shake-ups, which would indicate the transfer of certain superstars to other brands. I’ve looked at the possibilities and came up with the following list of WWE Superstars who could be changing brands next week!
AJ Styles to RAW
A move for AJ Styles to RAW would not come as a surprise because this is the WWE Superstar Vince McMahon is quite excited about. Vince has stated numerous times that he wanted Styles on RAW to give him a larger platform than SmackDown.
Still, a move for AJ Styles is not yet certain, because Styles stated in SmackDown he doesn’t want to move. He said that he built SmackDown, so he does not want anyone to take that away from him. Styles also seems to have done a minor face turn, so only time will tell what the company’s plans are for the WWE Superstar.
Becky Lynch to RAW
RAW is desperate for female talent to make its women’s division more interesting. A move for Becky Lynch from SmackDown to RAW would certainly do that because the Irish lass kicker could bring some much needed attention to the RAW women’s division. If Becky Lynch moves to RAW, Charlotte Flair could be going to SmackDown. With Sasha Banks rumored to become a heel soon, she could outshine Charlotte in a rivalry with Bayley.
The New Day to Smackdown
Since they lost the tag team titles, the New Day have basically become a comedy act on the RAW roster. Even though I don’t mind the comedy the New Day brings to the table, I doubt the members of the New Day are happy with this development and want to spend some time in the ring.
A move to Smackdown could reinvigorate the tag team, maybe with a run as the SmackDown tag team champions? The tag team division of SmackDown is in desperate need of some bigger names, so maybe the New Day can provide what SmackDown needs.
Sami Zayn to SmackDown
I’m not the biggest fan of Sami Zayn, because his entire gimmick never really caught on with me. That being said, I still feel for the guy because his stint at RAW hasn’t been exactly smooth. Zayn could certainly benefit from a move, since the emphasis at SmackDown lies on the wrestling and not as much on the gimmick.
Even though I don’t like his gimmick, I have much respect for Zayn as a wrestler. He certainly has the athletic ability to become a legend one day, so I hope that a move to SmackDown will give him that opportunity.
Rusev to SmackDown
The last superstar I believe is likely to make a move to SmackDown is Rusev. Unfortunately, Rusev got somewhat lost in the mix of RAW Superstars. A move to SmackDown could boost his career again especially if he got a title opportunity.
With Rusev moving to SmackDown, I hope to see Lana in the wrestling ring as well. I know she has been preparing for the ring for some time, but I’ve only seen her in WrestleMania more than a year ago. She has done some house shows, but nothing more. Maybe a move to SmackDown could also mean Lana in the SmackDown women’s division.
