Monday Night Raw: 8 pm EST

Show opens up and Vince McMahon comes out to the ring. Then he brings out Stephanie and Triple H, as well as Shane McMahon, for a shakeup of the roster. Stephanie starts by saying that they, the WWE, haven’t been doing a great job for the fans lately. They haven’t been listening and tonight they’re going to get off to a fresh start. Triple H says the days of absentee management are over and the four of them will be retaking control. As of now, the fans are the authority.

Then Baron Corbin comes out and the crowd boos vehemently. He says he’s happy the McMahons are taking control. Then it cuts to commercial as Corbin gets set to air some grievances. He complains about his loss to Braun Strowman last night and tries to lobby to still be made permanent Raw General Manager anyways. Triple H tells him if he wins his match tonight, then he can be GM. His opponent will be Kurt Angle, and the guest referee will be Heath Slater – both guys Corbin has screwed with.

Before the match gets started, Triple H reveals that it’s actually a handicap match. Tag Champs Chad Gable & Bobby Roode come out with Apollo Crews and it’ll be 4-on-1 as Corbin takes on the people he’s wronged.

Handicap Match (with guest referee Heath Slater): Kurt Angle, Chad Gable, Bobby Roode & Apollo Crews vs. Baron Corbin

Corbin gets ganged up on and batter. Even referee Slater removes the turnbuckle cover to expose the steel. Shane comes out and says the match is now No Disqualification. They all smash Corbin repeatedly with steel chairs. The crowd chants “We want tables!” They all give Corbin their finishers and Angle is the last, securing the pinfall.

Winners: Kurt Angle, Chad Gable, Bobby Roode & Apollo Crews

After the match, they finally do bring out the table and Angle delivers and Angle slam on Corbin through it.

Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey comes out to the ring to cut a promo. She tries to explain what a real champion is. Then she issues an Open Challenge for her title. Backstage, all the women on the roster are shown fighting and clamoring to be given the shot. Stephanie McMahon resolves the issue by making a gauntlet match with all the women, and Rousey will face the winner next week.

Women’s Gauntlet Match for the No. 1 Contenders Spot

Alicia Fox starts things off against Bayley. Fox is eliminated and Mickie James is next in line. Mickie takes it to the battle-weary Bayley with a high pressure assault. She eliminates Bayley with a DDT. Ember Moon enters next and Mickie jumps on her aggressively and remains dominant. Moon manages to turn the tide and eliminates Mickie with an Eclipse.

Natalya comes out next. Moon gets control and wears on Natalya until Natalya nearly earns the pinfall with a brutal discus clothesline. They fight over a pin and Natalya eventually secures it. Ruby Riott enters the match now and the Riott Squad make things difficult for Nattie as the match wears on. Nattie eliminates Ruby after all and Sasha Banks comes out and starts putting a beating on a worn out Nattie.

Nattie gets a Sharpshooter on Banks but Banks is eventually able to break the hold. Banks almost taps Nattie out with some submissions but Nattie stays in it. Nattie gets the Sharpshooter again and forces Banks to tap. Nattie will face Rousey for the title next week.

Winner: Natalya

After the match, Rousey comes out and the two friends show each other mutual respect ahead of their title clash next week.
