Who Was Stan Lee?
It is unlikely for someone not to be familiar with Stan Lee. He was a writer and publisher who created numerous comic book characters, as well as the founder of Marvel Comics with with Jack Kirby in 1961.
If you are for some reason not that familiar with Stan Lee, you might be familiar with one of his creations. Stan is responsible for characters such as Spider-Man, X-Men, Thor, Iron Man, Black Panther, and the Fantastic Four.
Stan Lee’s creations have brought the world joy, especially those comic book and superhero fans. I am now a proud member of this fan club because of Stan, as his comic books were the ones that led me into the world of superheroes.
“A superhero in his own right to Marvel fans around the world, Stan had the power to inspire, to entertain and to connect. The scale of his imagination was only exceeded by the size of his heart.” – Bob Iger (Disney Chairman and CEO)
We all like to believe in superheroes, especially those of us who watch wrestling. We watch wrestling as an escape or simply to believe is something or someone; this is also something Stan did with his comic books.
While Stan may have passed on, his work will live forever. Many children are reading his comics until this day. We even watch films based on characters he created. Even though he has passed away, he will live in the memories and hearts of many people for years to come.
The team at Ringside would like to express their condolences to Stan Lee’s family and friends. He will be missed greatly.
