Reigns Will Be “Over” at the Greatest Royal Rumble
According to Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns will be “over” and popular with the fans at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. I support that statement.
Chris Jericho has made a number of statements, and I agree with all of them. Even though Chris Jericho is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, let me reassure you that my motivations for agreeing with him are based on my own opinions. Here are some of his statements:
“I think he’s like a modern day John Cena. For years fans just booed Cena because they think it’s the cool thing to do. They’re not paying any attention to what he’s really doing and that’s what Roman is now.”
“They just see Roman and they just start booing because it’s the in thing rather than just shutting up and watching this guy for what he is which is a great performer. And that’ll come.”
“Obviously if he turned heel he’d get over, but if he turned heel all the people that booed him would start cheering him.”
“I think it’s just a matter of time and staying the course and he needs some good heels to work with. Heels that want to be heels.”
Why Roman Reigns Should Be Cheered at the Greatest Royal Rumble
Anyone who has watched the WrestleMania 34 match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns should be cheering for Reigns at the Greatest Royal Rumble. Do you honestly want a champion like Lesnar who puts up matches like that at the biggest wrestling event of the year? Do you want a champion like Lesnar who does not care about the performance he is giving? All while he is paid astronomical amounts of money? Or do you want a champion like Reigns who is working his behind off to give fans what they want? I know which one I would pick.
Let me remind you, the only one who tried to put on a good match at Wrestlemania 34 was Roman Reigns. Lesnar’s work was sloppy, out of shape, not to mention outright dangerous where Roman Reign’s own safety was concerned. I’m sorry, but that is not a champion. You can twist and turn it, but at the end of the day, Lesnar is no longer the passionate wrestler we saw many years ago.
