John Cena Sued For Half A Million!

WWE superstar John Cena might be in hot water with car manufacturer Ford since the company decided to sue John for half a million dollars. Here is the story!

The Lawsuit

The lawsuit filed by Ford states the company is taking the WWE superstar to court for a breach of contract. In his contract with car manufacturer Ford, Cena was obligated to hold onto his 2017 Ford GT for at least two years. This clause in the contract is not unusual since Ford only creates 250 so-called supercars each year.

Ford states that John Cena has “unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorized resale flip of the vehicle”, and that Ford “suffered additional damages and losses, including, but not limited to, loss of brand value, ambassador activity, and customer goodwill.

Peanuts for Cena?

Many people believe that half a million is just peanuts for a millionaire like John Cena. However, this may not be the case according to Forbes.

Forbes stated that John Cena’s reason to sell his 2017 Ford GT, and some of his other property, was to “pay bills”; this could mean the WWE superstar is not as well off as first thought.

Cena’s annual WWE salary was determined on $8 million in 2016; this does not include the cut he gets from his merchandise sales, endorsement deals, movie roles, and more. Now it would seem Cena might be in a spot of financial trouble.

Lifestyle Change?

It is difficult to believe Cena has financial problems, even with the sale of the 2017 Ford GT. Cena owns a series of luxury cars, 55 at the time of this article! He also has a huge mansion, where he lives with his current fiance Nikki Bella.

Still, this is not the first time John Cena has been hit with a fine of some description. In 2012, Cena was forced to pay $15,214.12 on his home in Florida; this after he failed to pay a roofing company. So, he might be one of the most successful superstars at this point, but his opulent lifestyle is costing him, literally!
