More Time Off for Lesnar? – Can It Get Any Worse?

Okay, so I was surprised to see that dates for Brock Lesnar appearances on RAW have been released. Unfortunately, it seemed like my predictions were spot on and the “champion” will not defend his title until Great Balls of Fire. Still, there’s more, because Lesnar could take more time off after the pay-per-view.

The Announced Dates

According to Bleacher Report and other major wrestling news websites, Lesnar is not set to appear on RAW until June (as I predicted previously). In June, he is set to appear four times on RAW, mainly to promote the Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view in July. So, how long has he not defended the title at this point?

The Problem with These Dates

The problem with the announced dates is the following. Lesnar is scheduled to appear four times on Raw and then the Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view. However, no dates have been submitted after that.

So, what does this mean if Brock Lesnar retains the title? Well, it could mean that Lesnar disappears completely until SummerSlam 20 at the end of August!

Okay, so let me get this straight WWE! You make Finn Balor give his title up because of a shoulder injury and not being able to defend his title for 30 days. Yet, Brock Lesnar is doing minimal appearances, only defends his title every couple of months when he feels like it, and we should be okay with this? Seriously?

His Opponent

Okay, time to focus away from my rage and look at who his opponent is going to be. Still, it is not going to matter much if the WWE is serious about him keeping the title until Wrestlemania.

With Braun Strowman being injured, it is currently unclear who will challenge the “champion” for the title. Roman Reigns will be out of the question since he is likely to challenge Miz for the Intercontinental Championship. If Braun Strowman gets back from injury, he could be taking the title. If not, other talents such as Finn Balor and Seth Rollins could be considered.

Do I Really Care?

I have to be honest guys. At this point, I don’t give a damn about this Universal Championship. Brock holding the title for that long without defending it has decreased its value, not the mention that I don’t want to see Lesnar in another underwhelming match.

Paul Heyman may be a good manager and make us all excited for an upcoming Brock Lesnar match. I’m tired of being disappointed. Over the years, I’ve looked forward to the matches, only to be disheartened after fifteen minutes of nothing. Suplex, F5, smirky Brock Lesnar, the end. Is this really worth watching? Answer – no, I’ll just go do my laundry when this match comes on.

No respect to Brock’s opponent (who deserves my attention), but I don’t want to see valuable talent being used as fuel for this excuse of a champion. Maybe it is time to consider my Batista idea, WWE?

Can you take another hiatus by Brock Lesnar after Great Balls of Fire?
