May 29th Raw Preview: Road To Extreme Rules!

Tonight’s Raw is the “go-home” show before Sunday’s Extreme Rules PPV in Baltimore.

It is also Memorial Day, and with Raw’s ratings in their usual summertime slump, it will be interesting to see how they play the show tonight. Here’s what we’re looking forward to seeing.

Extreme Rules 2017 Poster.jpg EXTREME OPPORTUNITIES

Sunday’s main event is an Extreme Rules Fatal Five Way match. The winner of which becomes the number one contender for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title. All five competitors will be in action tonight. Reigns and Rollins will face off against each other. Balor challenges Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt in a triple threat. The field is as open as it can be. However, Balor and Reigns seem the odds-on favorites to win on Sunday. It will be interesting to see who stands tall at the end of the night.

TEAM EXTREME

Since returning to WWE, No one has pinned the Hardys. With the Broken gimmick still in a state of limbo, it will be interesting to see how Matt and Jeff progress over time. Reportedly, Vince sees a lot of opportunity in them and doesn’t want a “nostalgia” run. Perhaps tonight we’ll see more cracks in the Hardys before they finally get DELETED.  The Hardys face Sheamus and Cesaro in a steel cage on Sunday.

EXTREME INGENUES

Bayley and Alexa Bliss will (attempt to) get EXTREME on Sunday in a Kendo Stick on a Pole Match. So far Bayley has been unable or unwilling to show that she can move beyond her Huggable self and get hardcore. I suspect Bayley won’t get her first kendo hit on Bliss until Sunday.

AND ALL THE REST

  • Seriously, who attacked Enzo?
  • The continuing adventures of Titus O’Neil’s hazing of Apollo Crews.
  • Sasha vs Alicia FOOOOOOXXXX
  • Goldust continues his heel turn and REturn to the creepiness.
  • Will Elias Sampson drift into a title shot against Dean Ambrose?

What are you looking forward to tonight on Raw? Share your thoughts.
